William your host, grew up on the Eastern South shore of Long Island New York. He started visiting St Maarten in the 80's, fell in love with the island, and very quickly invested in vacation property. During about ten years he came several times a year

when he was not teaching "Economics and Government" or managing the 2000 seats catering facility in Centerport N.Y. In the mid 90's, looking for a more simple and relaxing life, he decided to move permanently from Long Island to St Maarten with his partner Philippe.

Philippe, the Executive Chef, is born in the south of France but grew up in Africa. True self-taught Chef, he came to St Martin in 1990, where he founded one of Orient Bay’s largest and finest restaurant la plantation . After establishing himself in New York for two years in the mid 90's, he came back to St Maarten to begin new ventures with his partner William.
